Launch of Urban London Collection

URBAN LONDON WALLPAPERS WIN INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD

International Design Awards 2011 - Winner

19th September 2011 – London, England. The Urban London collection of wallpapers and wall murals has been awarded Best Wallpaper Design at the International Design & Architecture Awards, sponsored by Design et al Magazine, at the awards ceremony held at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel in London on 16th September. The wallpapers are a collaboration between cutting edge London interior designer Adrienne Chinn and innovative wallpaper and fabric designer Annette Taylor-Anderson of ATADesigns.

The wallpapers are part of Adrienne Chinn's Urban London collection of rugs, fabrics, wallpaper, furniture, tie-backs and glassware. The full collection will be shown on the "Urban London by Adrienne Chinn" stand X62 at 100% Futures at Earl's Court Exhibition Hall, London from September 22nd – 25th, 2011. The collection is available for sale on the Wallpaper section of Adrienne's shopping site.

"I was inspired by focusing on the things we walk by everyday but ignore or discount – the grilles, graffiti, man-hole covers and pavement marks," Adrienne says. "The more I looked the more I saw – patterns, textures, colours. I went looking for beauty in unlikely places, and I'm happy to say I found it. So many of us live in urban environments of buildings and concrete and we dream of escape to the country. But I say, look around you. The beauty may not be as obvious but it is there, and it's all the more appealing for its hidden quality."

Urban London Collection

Adrienne Chinn is delighted to announce the launch of her new Urban London collection of hand-tufted rugs, murals, wallpapers, fabrics, tie-backs, cushions and lamp shades. The collection is inspired by the images Adrienne took on the streets of London in the summer of 2009. "I was inspired by focusing on the things we walk by everyday but ignore or discount -- the grilles, graffiti, man-hole covers, pavement marks. The more I looked the more I saw -- patterns, textures, colours. I went looking for beauty in unlikely places, and I'm happy to say I found it. So many of us live in urban environments of buildings and concrete and we dream of escape to the country. But, I say, look around you. The beauty may not be as obvious, but it is there, and it's all the more appealing for its hidden quality."

The collection is available in the interior design shopping section.
