Tempi Med - Mediterranean Fast Food Restaurant
Adrienne worked with designer Svetlana Shellshear to bring to life the client's brief of a contemporary Mediterranean interior that was "cool in summer and warm in winter", for the design of the first of a chain of high-end fast-food restaurants featuring delicious hot and cold food inspired by Mediterranean cuisine.
Adrienne came up with the idea of using the olive as the universal symbol of Mediterranean cooking and created an "al fresco" patio inside the restaurant. A stylised turquoise olive tree with leather leaves and berries and trompe l'oeil windows in the terracotta garden "wall" hint at an olive grove outside.
Two tone floor tiles in terracotta and ivory are divided by a curved border, with the seating area (featuring comfortable patio furniture) on the ivory side, and the terracotta path to the serving stations on the other side.
